From Good Day New York to Good Day Sacramento Crystal has appeared on morning shows sharing her culinary expertise. Her popular recipes known as “Crystal Creations” are not only shared on her social media, but they have been featured in several print outlets including OK! Magazine. The popularity of “Crystal Creations” sparked a collaboration between Crystal and Gobble, the originator of the 15-minute gourmet dinner-kit. Crystal designed her own meal-kit that was available for a Valentine’s Day special on Gobble, the kit sold out in 24hrs!
Crystal’s success as a chef was featured on the E! Network show “Platinum Life” where Smith starred alongside women who like herself were focused on their careers while balancing their hectic lives in relationships with famous music artists. Before her role on the “Platinum Life” Crystal made her TV debut on the BET show, “About the Business”. Before establishing a career for herself Smith faced several obstacles growing up in an underprivileged community in Fort Meyers, Florida. Smith wants to support those in need knowing what it feels like as she too was once there, but worked hard with her siblings for a better life. This is what has led to Smith’s passion towards philanthropy. Smith serves on the board of “The Smith Family Foundation” an organization founded by her husband the Grammy award winning singer Ne-Yo, which mission is to support children in foster care. Being in the foster system herself this issue is close to Crystal’s heart. Smith has also supported several other charities, such as The Jenesse Center for Domestic Violence Prevention in Los Angeles and ProjectflyLA, an organization that helps the underprivileged youth of Los Angeles. Philanthropy, food, and family mean everything to Smith who is a wife and mother.
